MUAY THAI
This physical and mental discipline, which includes standing combat strikes, is known as “the art of the eight weapons”, as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet, being associated with a good physical preparation that it makes a total contact fight quite efficient.
Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing, is a martial art whose remote precedence dates back approximately two thousand years.
Its origin is rooted in the historical beginnings of the Thai people. This form of struggle had been used as a method of defense against the struggles and possible invasions of peoples from the lowlands of the lower Chao Phraya River, known as Ao Lai.

BOXING

KICKBOXING
Kickboxing in the strict sense is often confused with Muay Thai (Thai boxing). Both are similar but with extreme differences, not only in the rules, but also in practice. However, the fighter's focus during the fight is different. In muay thai rules, there are more elbow strokes. Knee blows are allowed in both Muay Thai and K-1 Kickboxing.
Many martial artists claim that Kickboxing is just a combat sport, as it does not have its own philosophy, but others claim the opposite.
